I did a quick A B test with the headset and the built in iMac microphone. I use this headset on an iMac to communicate via Ventrillo as I play World of Warcraft.Bottom line is that it works like a charm.I can hear everything clearly, and everyone can hear me perfectly. I never told the people on the other side listening to me that I was on a headset, yet all my teammates immediately remarked that I sounded really good. Hands down they said the headset was MUCH better. So no more keybinding to open the mic as I talk. That means more focus on the game. For those wondering, this does work on the keyboard usb port.Hopefully, all my teammates will buy one of these so that I can hear them better too.
I use this headset to play video games, and I have been very pleased with the performance. From a technical perspective, they could not be easier to use. I plugged them in, they were detected by the OS, and sound came through them. I also use the mic, and it works great. My only complaint would be that they can cause some discomfort if worn for a long time.Even with that issue, I would recommend them to anyone who plays a lot of games.
Have used this headset for about a year. Mainly for ventrilo while playing wow. Works great and is very comfortable. I bought another one for my son and he likes it as well.
So, being a well trained net-guy, I did a google search, a logitech search, and I played with every setting on my audio panels, then pounded on the mute button a couple of times, and installed it on 3 different USB ports. Well, Logitech is a brand I have liked and this looked like just the thing: USB plug and play, and it says "comfort" right in the name.Ugh.I tried to install this thing 4 separate times onto my PC running Vista. When I got a new telephone answering system, it turned out that I also needed to record auto-attendant messages. The computer recognized the microphone, but would not record from it or recognize input from it.Finally, after hours, I gave up. The headphones installed right away, and after finding and setting the "default playback device" on the control panel, the sound actually was pretty good. And this is the last nice thing I'm going to say about these phones. The mic would never work. By that time the phones were killing my ears from their (not very soft) plastic pads.It went back today to be replaced by a good old fashioned 2-jack mic/headphone set from Plantronics.I don't know if it was a dead mic or fouled up drivers, but this thing already sucked up too much of my life to warrant another try, and they weren't comfortable enough anyhow.Goodbye and good riddance. Who needs more headaches (literally), life is full of them anyhow.
This headset was simple to install and works fine. i haven't used it for long times yet so I can't speak to it's long term comfort but so far it is a good comfortable headset.
